The Hopewell Public Library is a friendly community public library that is free and open to everyone, located in the midst of historic downtown Hopewell Borough.
- You are welcome to visit, browse books, read newspapers and magazines, work on your computer using our public Wi-Fi, and explore the Children’s Room on the second floor.
- You can bring in covered drinks, to relax with a cup of coffee in the downstairs work area.
- Visitors also can use library resources including the desktop computers and laptops, copier / scanner, and fax machine (there is a small fee for copies and faxes).
- You and your family members are welcome to participate in library programs and book clubs.
You do need a library card to check out books, magazines, and DVDs, — and to reserve books through the online Catalog, download and read E-Books, or request titles through our Inter-Library Loan system. Library cards are free for residents of Hopewell Borough, Pennington Borough, and Hopewell Township. Non-residents can get a card for a nominal fee of $20 per year.

HPL Children’s Resources
- Children’s Room – Dedicated space in the entire second floor of the library
– For toddlers to youth, with books, audiobooks, videos, and play area - Children’s Storytime – Stories and fun for ages 2-5, every Monday at 10:15 am.

– For use within the library; Please use headphones when listening to audio
– Extra headphones and mice are available - Printer – Documents can be printed on the library copier from library computers and laptops
– Download and print materials including state and federal income tax forms - Scanner – Scan documents to digital files
– The library’s copy machine has a flatbed scanner with a document feeder
– Scan a large number of pages into a single document
– Scanned documents are sent to the library computers, and then can be opened to view, and then emailed or saved to a thumb drive or other device

- Online Catalog – Browse, reserve, and renew materials, including books, DVDs, and audiobooks
