Welcome to the Hopewell Public Library

The Hopewell Public Library is a friendly community public library that is free and open to everyone, located in the midst of historic downtown Hopewell Borough.

  • You are welcome to visit, browse books, read newspapers and magazines, work on your computer using our public Wi-Fi, and explore the Children’s Room on the second floor.
  • You can bring in covered drinks, to relax with a cup of coffee in the downstairs work area.
  • Visitors also can use library resources including the desktop computers and laptops, copier / scanner, and fax machine (there is a small fee for copies and faxes).
  • You and your family members are welcome to participate in library programs and book clubs.

You do need a library card to check out books, magazines, and DVDs, — and to reserve books through the online Catalog, download and read E-Books, or request titles through our Inter-Library Loan system. Library cards are free for residents of Hopewell Borough, Pennington Borough, and Hopewell Township. Non-residents can get a card for a nominal fee of $20 per year.
